Prior to his latest role at Starbucks, Russell worked at banking giant Barclays. Across multiple positions at Barclays, Russell developed and implemented an award-winning data ethics tool in conjunction with the Open Data Institute to guide stakeholders and analysts in the ethical use of data and to enable consistent and customer-centric decision making, winning the DataIQ Award for best data and AI ethics initiative in 2021.

Shahina Khan is the Head of Data Governance for SMBC across EMEA. Shahina joined SMBC in November 2021 and is responsible for the setting and enforcement of Data Governance policy and supporting the business functions in adopting and implementing the Data Governance Framework. Before this, she was at Deutsche Bank for 8 years, 4 of those as the Head of Banking Book Data Management and Control. A qualified accountant with over 20 years in the banking industry, she has much experience across Data Management, Change, Finance and Risk and is specifically focused on driving a best-in-class control environment, creating transparency, and delivering value through protecting the organisation.

Alex has worked at Zurich Insurance for nearly two decades, progressing her way from Management and Information Analyst to Chief Data Officer, with a background in web development. From 2014 to 2015 Alex was a part of the Rising Talent Programme, Zurich’s internal future leaders programme.
