Douglas Laney, data and analytics strategy innovation fellow, West Monroe
What has been your path to power?
Laney is the data and analytics strategy innovation fellow with the digital services firm West Monroe where he helps clients generate greater value from their data assets by taking advantage of their unique economics. He was vice president and distinguished analyst with Gartner’s chief data officer (CDO) research and advisory practice, teaches Infonomics at the University of Illinois Gies College of Business, and is co-chair of the annual MIT Chief Data Office Symposium.
Laney originated the concept of Infonomics and authored the best-selling Infonomics: How to Monetize, Manage, and Measure Information as an Asset for Competitive Advantage. He is also a contributor to Forbes and has been a guest lecturer at global academic institutions.
