JoAnn Stonier, chief data officer, Mastercard
What has been your path to power?
With more than 14 years at MasterCard, Stonier has been involved with every aspect of data and analytics at the global payment platform and established a global privacy and data protection program during her time as senior vice president, global privacy and data protection officer, managed worldwide data strategy and risk mitigation as executive vice president, chief information governance and privacy officer and has been leading the global business in her current role as chief data officer.
Stonier spent eight years at financial services provider American Express where she was responsible for a privacy program across all divisions and established a governance process, policies and procedures and education program. She is also a visiting professor at the Pratt Institute and was previously an adjunct professor at Saint Frances College
