Deepak Jose’s path to power

Jose is a purpose-led executive leader in digital transformation, commercial strategy, data sciences, and analytics. He is the global head and senior director of one demand data and analytics solutions at Mars Wrigley and a Mars global customer leadership team member. He was part of Mars digital technologies, leading data and analytics transformation programs for Pet Care, Mars Wrigley, and Food & Multi Sales segments. Before Mars, Jose was part of global brands like Coca-Cola, ABB, Asurion, and Mu Sigma in strategic roles driving business growth. He is an MBA from George Washington University School of Business and a mechanical engineer from NIT Calicut, India. He completed an executive education program from Oxford University Said School of Business in economics of mutuality.

 

Jose is a CPG and retail industry influencer in data and analytics and digital strategy. He is a member of the retail & CPG executive advisory forum for Amazon Web Services, a data and analytics executive council member of the Association of National Advertisers, a client advisory board member for Fractal AI, an executive data council member at BCI Summit, an advisory board member for start-up organizations in robotics, etc. Jose co-authored the book, Leading Through the Pandemic - Unconventional Wisdom from Heartfelt Leaders. He published whitepapers on machine learning, trade promotion optimization, and revenue growth management. He is a highly in-demand speaker and has spoken at multiple retail and CPG industry summits focusing on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and sustainability.

Tell us about the data and analytics resources you are responsible for

I lead a global end-to-end analytics solutions team of data scientists, data engineers, DevOps and product strategy managers (business translators) as part of the One Demand Data and Analytics Solutions team. ODDA is a globally diverse team across the US, Canada, Brazil, the UK, UAE, China, and India and the program is globally sponsored by the Mars Wrigley CFO. My focus areas are strategic revenue management, route to market, portfolio management, innovation and R&D, marketing transformation, omnichannel/ecommerce, perfect store/category, and enterprise connected insights to drive profitable growth for Mars and its customers.
