Seth Dobrin’s path to power
Dr. Dobrin is a leading expert in artificial intelligence (AI) and its application to business. He is a passionate advocate for the responsible use of AI and he is committed to using AI to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems.
He is the chief executive officer of Trustwise, a company that helps organizations implant generative AI in a safe and secure manner. He was previously the global chief AI officer at IBM, where he led the company’s entire AI strategy. Dr. Dobrin has also held senior positions at other Fortune 500 companies where he used data and AI to create billions of dollars of top and bottom-line value.
Dr. Dobrin is a sought-after speaker and advisor on AI. He has been featured in major publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and The New York Times as well as major broadcast networks such as the BBC and NPR. He has also spoken at numerous conferences and events around the world.
Dr. Dobrin holds a PhD molecular and statistical genetics from Arizona State University.

What level of data maturity do you typically encounter across your client base and what tends to hold this back?
Data maturity in most organizations is disappointingly low. This is an issue in and of itself, but has only gotten worse as companies try to adopt AI. Will be exacerbated with the integration of generative AI.
What trends are you seeing in terms of the data and analytics resources your clients are demanding from you?
Clients need data and analytics resources that can deliver:
- Data and AI strategy development
- Enable readiness for existing and future regulation
- Provide data as a service to their organization
- Education of workforce
- Assessment tools for the responsible use of data
