I’ve worked in the data and analytics industry for 30 years now, originally as a report developer at Dow Chemical in Switzerland, later leading the BI team as we implemented the world’s first global data warehouse. I’ve authored & co-authored seven books, including Successful Business Intelligence: How to Unlock the Value of BI & Big Data and numerous articles for Information Week. As an instructor at TDWI, I trained a generation of data leaders on selecting BI tools, improving analytical maturity and measuring value. As a Gartner research vice president, I advised customers on AI ethics, data for good, led the analytics MQ and delivered keynotes around the world. At ThoughtSpot, I act as a coach and strategic advisor to our top customers on data fluency, organizational change, data mesh and more. As host of The Data Chief podcast, I bring best practices and back stories  of leading CDOs, CDAOS to listeners around the world. As part of the executive team at ThoughtSpot, I influence our strategy on creating AI-driven analytics to the masses.
