I have over 16 years of experience in data, analytics, accounting, risk management, and audit. I joined Grant Thornton as a graduate and after initially training as a Chartered Accountant, I focused on delivering automation and analytics of accounting processes using data from the many accounting systems across different markets and industries.
I have driven initiatives that enhance the internal capabilities of data analytics functions as part of establishing continuous auditing and monitoring frameworks using data visualisations and low code automation platforms across business and IT subject areas. My role expanded into managing a portfolio of IT audits and data services, covering areas from cyber security and GDPR, through to data governance, master data management, digital transformations and data migrations.
I have mostly worked with corporates in the FTSE 100 and 250 markets, with a focus on retail, FMCG, automotive, and manufacturing sectors. More recently I have been working with clients on implementing effective AI governance and ensuring regulatory compliance with the GDPR and the EU AI Act, as well as adopting industry frameworks for AI management.
