Karen Bernhard’s path to power
Bernhard is the chief data officer (CDO) for Citibank, where she is accountable for data governance and management, stewardship, data quality and data information architecture. Bernhard joined Citibank in 2018 in Mexico as the CDO and led the data transformation of CitiBanamex to modern data technology and tools. Prior to joining Citibank, Bernhard served as the head of data strategy for customer markets at Liberty Mutual. She created strategic and transformational value for Liberty’s customers, agents and employees by delivering key cross-functional use cases, such as Telematics and Customer 360.
