This is an exciting opportunity to join DataIQ’s events team in a new role as Senior Conference Producer for a diverse and unique portfolio of virtual and in-person events. Linked closely to our membership, you will be involved in content creation and speaker acquisition. The role is best suited to an ambitious candidate with a strong background in producing high quality B2B events.

 

What we’re looking for

We are seeking a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Senior Conference Producer to oversee all aspects of content programming for DataIQ’s events. This individual will be the primary contact for speakers, expert contributors, and collaborators, and will play a key role in setting the overarching agendas and themes for DataIQ events, including commercial and member-exclusive gatherings. This role is pivotal to the success of our events and the continued growth of our brand within the data community.

This is not a traditional conference production role, many of our events are targeting very small groups of attendees and are focusing on high quality conversations and takeaways useful for each participant. To be successful you’ll need to build strong relationships across the data and AI industry and become a true subject matter expert.

This is a position that presents an exciting opportunity to build on our expanding commercial events programmes both in the UK and overseas. You will be a key member of the DataIQ team and play an important role in accelerating the growth of the business in the UK and globally.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the content and themes for DataIQ’s commercial events, including DataIQ 100 Reveal (London, March), US Summit (Nashville, May), Guild (Spain, July), and World Congress (London, November).
  • Overall accountability for leading and delivering profitable DataIQ events.
  • Produce a range of smaller, more frequent, member-focused events, such as Accelerators, Meet-Ups and Peer Exchanges.
  • Shape overarching agendas and session topics based on industry trends, member needs, and market research.
  • Design event formats that engage audiences, such as keynotes, panel discussions, and roundtables.
  • Research, identify, and acquire expert contributors, thought leaders, and industry professionals to participate in sessions, via phone or desk-based research.
  • Manage speaker relationships, from initial outreach to preparation for their roles, ensuring alignment with event objectives.
  • Work with the wider team to leverage established contacts and gain more visibility for DataIQ’s network of members.
  • Collaborate with membership team to ensure the smaller events provide value, insights, and networking opportunities tailored to DataIQ members.
  • Work closely with the Events Operations Manager, commercial, marketing, and design teams to align programming with commercial objectives and business goals.


Your Skillset

  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with industry trends, capable of creating relevant and engaging content for various event formats.
  • Able to hold a conversation and build relationships with C-level execs (typically Chief Data Officers or equivalent).
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at liaising with diverse stakeholders and building strong relationships with speakers and contributors.
  • Resourceful and adept at thinking on your feet, able to troubleshoot issues and pivot as needed to ensure smooth event delivery.
  • A collaborative spirit with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and A strong fit with DataIQ’s values, driven to create meaningful experiences for the data community.

 

Experience

  • 2-3 years of conference production experience in a B2B setting, ideally within data, technology, or professional services.
  • Data and tech event/content creation experience is a strong advantage
  • Proven experience in developing content agendas and managing relationships with expert speakers.
  • Familiarity with both smaller, intimate events (20-30 attendees) and larger gatherings (up to 700 attendees).
  • Demonstrated success working with sales, marketing, and operational teams to achieve event goals.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for event programming, including health, safety, and risk management considerations.
