The 2024 DataIQ AI Award winners have been revealed
Alex RobertsAt the inaugural DataIQ AI Awards yesterday, hosted at the stunning Marriott Turnberry Resort, Miami, we celebrated a wide range of innovative and creative solutions from across the AI and data industry. Winner highlights from the night include:
- Ally Financial development of a proprietary, scalable and secure platform that allows enterprise-wide usage of AI took home Transformation with AI – Client-Side. The team also scooped the Grand Prix award, achieving the highest score from judges.
- Scotiabank impressed the judges on multiple occasions and took home titles for both Best Responsible AI Program and Most Innovative Use of AI – Client-Side.
- Quantm AI’s Dr Seth Dobrin received the title AI for Good Champion for his ongoing leadership in multiple sectors to highlight the benefits of AI.

“AI and now generative AI are the big transformers in the data and analytics world, and those behind innovating and delivering high value for their businesses at scale responsibly deserve to be celebrated,” said Adrian Gregory, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of DataIQ. “We were delighted with the quality and quantity of entries for the inaugural DataIQ AI Awards and the atmosphere was electric as data leaders from global organizations came together to shine a light on the best and brightest our industry has to offer. Each of the winners for 2024 are well-deserving of their achievements and I am excited to see what will be accomplished for 2025.”
Examples of the award winners included:
- Using AI to improve the efficiency and environmental impact of global supply chains.
- Heightening the capabilities of customer-facing chatbots in highly regulated and complex sectors such as personal banking.
- Creating an AI algorithm that can identify and address the social and emotional needs of at-risk users undergoing physical health procedures.
The DataIQ AI Awards cover individual achievements, team achievements, and ingenious solutions that genuinely provide beneficial impacts to the global community.

The winners were selected by an experienced client-side judging panel of senior data practitioners. The judges examined more than 170 submissions and narrowed this down to a shortlist with ultimate winners. Each entry was scored individually and then the panel’s scores were aggregated with the highest in each category identified as the winner. The Grand Prix is awarded to the entry with the highest overall score.
