Thomas Mazzaferro, chief data and innovation officer, Western Union
What has been your path to power?
Mazzaferro has spent the last two years as chief data and innovation officer at Western Union where he has driven fintech developments through data-centric decisions and enhanced the way in which financial data is analysed globally. His projects at Western Union have increased customer experiences and created a richer pool of data sources for data lakes.
Prior to joining Western Union, Mazzaferro was US chief data officer for banking giant HSBC where his financial background led to new ways in which data was examined to improve customer services. Mazzaferro also spent more than seven years at JPMorgan Chase in positions including chief operating officer of data and analytics and credit risk executive director.
