Anthony Belpaire is Head of AI at BNP Paribas Fortis, where he leads the bank’s AI product teams and the broader transformation agenda to embed artificial intelligence across core operations. Based in Brussels, he is responsible for translating AI ambition into tangible, scalable solutions that enhance performance, customer experience and long-term competitiveness.
An active part of the DataIQ community, Anthony takes part in network calls with other DataIQ clients and wider conversations.
Anthony has built a career managing high-growth ventures and business units from early-stage development through to sustainable profitability. He is known for combining product innovation with commercial discipline, and for his ability to engage stakeholders across the spectrum, from executive leadership and shareholders to operational teams and end customers.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas Fortis in 2024, Anthony spent more than a decade at Google, holding a series of senior leadership roles across EMEA. These included Head of News Products and Programmes and Head of News Partnerships, where he led international product strategy, strategic partnerships and business development initiatives. He also served on the management board for Google Belgium and Luxembourg, overseeing key industry portfolios including financial services and telecoms.
Anthony has held multiple board and advisory positions across technology and business organisations, contributing to governance and strategic oversight.
