Bhavik Davda, Chief Customer Insight and Analytics Officer, AS Watson, Europe

My career began as a Management Accountant, providing financial analytical support; an experience that later helped me focus on creating value from data teams and securing business investment. I firmly believe that by taking on diverse roles, you can gain cross-functional knowledge that contributes significantly to your current position.  

My journey has included running a loyalty programme, building a small mobile phone network, and leading strategic development functions. I have also implemented business initiatives from the insight functions I led, such as store segmentation. The common thread in my roles is the extensive use of data, analytics, and insight, allowing me to lead by example and understand how to generate value as a customer of data and analytics teams.  

I currently lead a Group Function, a centre of excellence, providing strategic direction, tooling, and facilitating knowledge sharing and governance for our 18 European businesses across Data Analytics and Loyalty Programmes.
