Bryan McMaster, Senior Director, Data Science and Analytics, Grocery Outlet

What has been your path to power?

McMaster has nearly two decades of experience leading the development of mission critical applications, platform integrations, data warehousing and analytics tools. For the last 21 years, he has worked at Grocery Outlet, the publicly-held, leading extreme value retailer in the United States which has been serving bargain-seeking customers since 1946.

He moved into his current role as senior director, data science and analytics in July 2020 where he leads the overall data strategy, data science and analytics initiatives. McMasters’ career with the company started as a technician and programmer, before moving into the management of application development. As director of application development, he spent six years overseeing all custom application development, systems integrations, business intelligence and data analytics across the organization.
