I began my career as a data scientist after earning my PhD from an Ivy League institution, ultimately rising to the pinnacle role of Chief Data and Analytics Officer in the energy sector. Along the way, I gained invaluable experience in the financial services, telecommunications, and energy industries, where I built geographically distributed, high-performing data and analytics teams from the ground up.
My professional journey spans three major industries – financial services, telecom, and energy – and three global cities: New York, Istanbul, and London. I have extensive expertise in crafting and executing data and AI strategies tailored to diverse sectors. This includes assembling world-class teams of data scientists, engineers, product owners, and data governance professionals; designing optimal operating models; identifying high impact use cases aligned with organisational objectives; and delivering transformative results.
