Charl Timms is the Commercial Director at Stellantis, where he drives the organisation’s marketing and sales strategy across diverse markets. An accomplished business leader and value creator, Charl brings extensive experience spanning strategic planning, branding and communications, and performance management for leading automotive brands including Nissan, Toyota, and Suzuki across the MENA region, South Africa, and sub-Saharan Africa. 

With a master’s degree in Organisational Leadership and multiple industry-specific certifications, Charl combines academic insight with real-world expertise. His leadership approach is rooted in strategic clarity and measurable outcomes, consistently delivering growth in brand preference, market share, and profitability through the design and execution of market-aligned business plans. 

Before joining Stellantis, Charl served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Nissan South Africa and held senior commercial roles at BB Motor Group. Across each role, he has demonstrated a proven ability to balance strategic vision with operational precision – building high-performing teams and transforming market potential into sustained business success.
