I began and spent the first 20 years of my career in the Big 4 consulting firms, moving from technology risk and governance into data governance and eventually data solutions and advanced analytics.
From consulting I moved into data leadership roles in startups and global organisations. I have always taken roles to change the way things are done, to improve the way data is used, and to build capability, and my role at Ofgem is no different. My career has helped me develop the relevant data leadership skills, from grasp of the technology to senior engagement, presentation, learning, and coaching, and the ability to understand and embed the needs of the business into the data approach.
