Danielle Crop’s path to power
Following a master’s in statistics from Oregon State University, Crop spent nearly 15 years at American Express, starting as director of card acquisition fraud, then holding many customer experience roles before becoming their chief data officer in 2020. At American Express, Crop was responsible for usage of unique data advantages to drive growth and differentiation.
In 2021, Crop became Albertsons’ first chief data officer, tasked with developing and implementing an exceptional central data strategy that generates advantages for customers, irrespective of whether they make purchases in physical stores or on the company’s digital platforms. Her responsibilities involve utilizing machine learning and advanced data science techniques to improve performance across various markets and business sectors.
