Following a degree in computer systems engineering, my need to solve problems led me to work with the NHS, solving how technology helps radiotherapy treatments for cancer patients and supporting surgeons using the latest neurosurgical innovations. I then transitioned to financial services, where I applied technology solutions to minimise Y2K risks to the UK’s banking system during the turn of the millennium.
Post 2000, seeking a new challenge, I began working at Acxiom, where I have remained for 25 years. This time has seen continuous innovation in how technology connects people together: emails and mobile messaging, smartphones, social media, streaming platforms, digital advertising both online and in the real world, gaming, big data, augmented reality and virtual reality, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
My role at Acxiom has been at the forefront of collaborating with clients and solving for how these technological innovations can help people better connect with brands, to discover the products and services they need.
