Iñigo Antolin is Head of Data Management and Governance at the British Council, where he leads the organisation’s enterprise approach to data as part of the Data, Evidence and Performance leadership team. His focus is on strengthening governance, improving data quality and embedding a more disciplined, decision-ready data culture across a complex global organisation.
Since 2022, Iñigo has led the Data Governance workstream within the British Council’s Data Analytics Strategy, working closely with senior leaders across strategic business units and professional services. He is responsible for shaping systems development, integration and automation plans that improve data capture and reporting, supporting KPI tracking and the organisation’s broader Results and Evidence framework. He also manages a global team dedicated to data delivery and quality assurance, ensuring that data assets are trusted, consistent and aligned to strategic priorities.
Earlier roles within the British Council included Senior Digital Analytics and Insights Manager and Digital Insights Manager, where he operated closer to customer behaviour, digital performance and commercial outcomes. This foundation in marketing, digital analytics and e-commerce, combined with earlier experience in journalism and PR, informs his distinctive approach: translating complex data landscapes into clear, actionable narratives for senior, non-technical stakeholders.
Iñigo advises and speaks on data governance, operating model design and executive-level data and AI storytelling. He is an active participant at DataIQ discussions, closed-door network connections, and peer events, as well as being the winner of the 2024 DataIQ Awards Data Champion for his work quelling the fears of data across the organisation during a period of evolution.
