Describe your career to date

I am an experienced data management professional, responsible for the design, development, delivery, and adoption of a best-in-class data management program to ensure regulatory compliance, data management policies and standards, support operational efficiency, and facilitate digital transformation. I have over fifteen years’ experience in data governance, client data management, change delivery, and information security in the public and private sectors. My prior work includes three years at Bank of America as the Risk and Finance Data Quality Control Executive, and seven years at HSBC where I was the Global Banking and Markets, Chief Data Officer. 

How are you developing the data literacy of your organization, including the skills of your data teams and of your business stakeholders?  

We are continuously fostering data literacy through proactive training programs, workshops, and virtual resources tailored for both data teams and business stakeholders, aiming to enhance their awareness, understanding, and adoption of centralized capabilities and services such as data catalogue, data quality dashboards, and issue management frameworks.

What role do you play in building and delivering conventional AI solutions, including machine learning models? Are you involved in your organization’s adoptions of generative AI? 

Not a direct involvement, but we partner with the AI Hub to identify use cases and ensure access to authoritative data sets.  

What stage has your organization reached on its data maturity journey? 

We are just completing achieved and moving into enhanced.
