I had a superb early induction to leadership as an Officer in the RAF, but my career in data began as an analyst, interrogating data to understand and explain business opportunities and challenges. I led analytics, modelling, AI, BI, insights and reporting teams for Sky, Hutchison 3G, and Telefonica.
While at O2, my focus shifted to setting and implementing information strategies and delivering end-to-end data transformations. I subsequently led data and transformation teams and delivered new data ecosystems and TOM’s at British Gas and Sainsbury’s before running my own consultancy, followed by three years at Asda defining and implementing an information strategy.
I became the Chief Data Officer at The Crown Estate in 2023, looking after data management, development, GIS, analytics, data science, AI, and visualisation. The role has involved defining The Crown Estate’s information strategy and rolling out associated transformation and literacy programmes.
Elsewhere, I have held several positions in great industry bodies, such as the IDM Data Council, DMA Customer Data Council and Women in Data.
