In 2015 Bala joined Condé Nast as chief data officer where his work included the acquisition of Citizen Net to provide AI-driven social media marketing, and Lighthouse Labs to provide AI-driven performance marketing solutions. At Condé Nast Bala built and led a team of more than 300 technologists, data engineers, predictive modelers, data scientists, qualitative/quantitative researchers, business intelligence professionals and more to generate more than $150 million in annual data-product revenue and supported over $1.5 billion in revenue.
