I serve as the Director of Data at The Pensions Regulator. Previously, I was the Director of Data and Services at the Open Data Institute and the Head of Data and Analytical Services at Ordnance Survey.
I am a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in both the public and non-profit sectors, including roles at the Environment Agency and the Department for the Environment. My expertise includes developing data strategies, implementing data governance frameworks, and leading data transformations.
I have led numerous initiatives, including open data projects that positioned the UK among the top ten globally for open data impact. At the Open Data Institute, I managed open standards for data. Through my work with DAMA UK, I aim to elevate the data profession to the same level of recognition as more established fields like accountancy. I am always keen to share my learning and co-wrote the Little Book of Data.
