Mandla Linda is the Chief Information Officer at the South African Department of Defence, where he leads the organisation’s ICT strategy, governance, and digital transformation agenda. With extensive experience across both the public and private sectors, Mandla is recognised for his ability to align technology with institutional objectives, driving efficiency, security, and innovation within complex operational environments.
Mandla has built a career spanning enterprise resource planning, business analysis, programme management, and IT strategy. Before joining the Department of Defence, he served as Chief Director of Information Technology Applications Management at the Department of Correctional Services (DCS), where he oversaw the design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology systems that improved service delivery and operational effectiveness.
Earlier in his career, Mandla held senior technology and consulting roles with leading organisations including Deloitte, Kellogg Company, Oracle, and Eskom – experiences that strengthened his expertise across both government and industry landscapes.
