Meenakshi Burra is Chief Data Officer and Chief Digital and Information Officer at Unilever, where she leads the definition of enterprise data strategy and the delivery of data platforms and products that embed advanced analytics and AI to drive measurable business value. Her remit spans the end-to-end use of data, from foundational platforms to AI-enabled insights, with a clear focus on net value creation and decision intelligence at scale.
In her role as CDIO, Meenakshi partners closely with Unilever’s markets and global digital and technology teams to strengthen operational resilience and accelerate digital transformation across the business. She brings deep expertise in consumer packaged goods, combining a strong understanding of business processes with technology and data capabilities to translate strategy into execution.
A global data, analytics, and technology leader, Meenakshi has a proven track record of delivering large-scale digital and data transformations. Prior to her current role, she held a number of senior leadership positions within Unilever, including Director of Information and Analytics Operations and Director of Business Intelligence for Asia, Africa, and Central and Eastern Europe. In these roles, she led the implementation of robust data management and analytics frameworks that improved insight quality, enabled data-driven decision-making, and delivered tangible commercial impact.
Meenakshi is known as an inclusive leader with a strong commitment to building high-performing, diverse teams and fostering a culture where data, automation, and AI are used responsibly to unlock business growth.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, and has completed executive programmes in Digital Transformation and Strategic Leadership.
