Megan Brown is Director of the Starbucks Data Office at Starbucks, where they lead the development and execution of enterprise data strategy across key areas including data quality, governance, metadata, and data literacy. With nearly a decade at Starbucks, Megan has built a reputation for translating complex business priorities into actionable data and analytics strategies that deliver measurable impact.
In their current role, Megan is responsible for aligning the company’s broader business strategy with a clear data and analytics vision, establishing repeatable frameworks that connect strategic priorities to high-value data products. They have introduced new approaches to metadata management and semantic layers, enabling more intuitive discovery and use of data across the organization, including for AI and machine learning applications.
Previously, Megan led the Global Center of Excellence for Advanced Analytics and Data Science, where they oversaw the delivery of AI-driven products across international markets. Their work has included launching generative AI use cases that improved data governance and efficiency, as well as developing pricing and personalization models that contributed to significant revenue growth across multiple regions.
Earlier, Megan launched Starbucks’ Data Literacy function, scaling education and adoption efforts across the business and embedding analytics into decision-making during a period of significant disruption.
