Describe your career to date

I am Head of Strategic Planning and partnerships at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) and an industry-agnostic global digital, product, and data analytics leader. I have plenty of experience driving digital transformation, product commercialization, growth strategies, and end-to-end data management with key focus areas such as strategy, data analytics, business transformation, product management, and customer success.  

I began my career as a Data Analytics Consultant, traveling the US and working for various industry clients. I strongly believe in economies of scale, am outcome-driven, and I am passionate about solving critical business challenges using Digital and Data technologies.  

My career has given me substantial experience using data science to improve critical operational challenges and has experience standing up data governance programs across various public and private sector organizations.  

I have productized data, artificial intelligence (AI), and other digital products with the right go-to-market strategies and have achieved commercial value for Fortune 500 organizations. Over the years, I transformed cultures and delivered digital and data solutions that can be leveraged to provide measurable outcomes to drive organizational goals.  

I hold an executive MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and an MSc from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. I am on the Leadership Board at the University of North Texas and on the Product Advisory Board at Modal Learning. 

How are you developing the data literacy of your organization, including the skills of your data teams and of your business stakeholders? 

Throughout my professional tenure, I have crafted comprehensive data and analytics literacy programs tailored for large, global organizations encompassing diverse populations with varying levels of data literacy. My approach involves designing customized learning and training initiatives targeting multiple personas aligned with overarching enterprise objectives and specific functional and subject matter expertise.  

Furthermore, I have cultivated robust partnerships with enterprise learning and development departments to foster a continuous learning culture, ensuring sustained growth and proficiency in data-driven decision-making across the organization. 

What role do you play in building and delivering conventional artificial intelligence solutions, including machine learning models? Are you also involved in your organization’s adoption of generative AI?  

I have been privileged to tackle complex industry challenges with innovative solutions throughout my career. I have developed, led, and executed AI and Data Strategies that have fueled innovation through the creation of AI products incorporating a range of machine learning models. In my current capacity, I collaborate closely with our AI team to develop enterprise-wide AI strategy and explore strategic partnerships aimed at adopting cutting-edge solutions that encompass a wide spectrum of AI technologies, including generative AI. 

Have you set out a vision for data? If so, what is it aiming for and does it embrace the whole organization or just the data function? 

Throughout my career, I have consistently led enterprise-wide initiatives on a global scale, focusing on driving value through data at large organizations. My vision is centered on harnessing data as a strategic asset to fuel innovative business transformation across diverse functions within the company. I am committed to influencing the organizational data community and executive leadership by emphasizing the critical role of data in enterprise success and highlighting that even the most sophisticated algorithms depend on clean, high-quality data. This strategic approach ensures that data remains at the forefront of decision-making and drives tangible outcomes across the organization.
