I have been an advisor to Fortune 1000 organizations on data and AI leadership for nearly four decades. I am a senior advisor, author, speaker, founder, CEO, innovation fellow, and board member of numerous organizations. I am the bestselling author of Fail Fast, Learn Faster: Lessons in Data-Driven Leadership in an Age of Disruption, Big Data, and AI, and a regular contributor to Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and MIT Sloan Management Review. I was a former contributor to The Wall Street Journal and have been referenced and quoted on AI leadership in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Economist.
I was founder and CEO of NewVantage Partners (NVP), a data and AI leadership advisory firm to Fortune 1000 clients. NVP was acquired by Paris-based global consultancy Wavestone in 2021, where I then served as Innovation Fellow until January 2024. I am a frequent industry keynote and panel moderator on the topic of data and AI leadership. In 2024, I became DataIQ’s first Knowledge Expert and Business Advisor for North America.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where I currently serve on the National Council Board for the College of Arts and Sciences.
