Reza Rastegar’s path to power

Rastegar formed OXY’s advanced analytics, data science and artificial intelligence team. He actively participates in technical ideation, model and algorithm design, code development, review, test and deployment and ensures his team stays up to date with the best technical tools and practices to provide the highest value. Rastegar is also an OXY principal and a member of OXY’s technical advisory board. This board is a selected group of engineers and scientists at OXY working on special technical projects, providing strategic oversight for new technological developments, mentoring OXY technical professionals and helping connect OXY’s business strategy to its technical capabilities.

Rastegar recently spent two years as an adjunct professor of engineering and mathematics at the University of Tulsa, and has previously held roles at iPronto systems, National Oilwell Varco and Greenline Trading.
