A specialist in database design, data lifecycle management, systems integration, and solution architecture, Ryan has built a career on designing scalable, cross-platform data systems that enable insight-driven decision-making. His expertise spans both the tactical delivery of complex projects and the long-term shaping of enterprise architecture and governance frameworks. 

Before joining Vitality, Ryan held a series of senior leadership roles focused on data architecture, business intelligence, and technology strategy, where he consistently delivered high-impact solutions aligned with organisational priorities. DataIQ asked: “How do you see the role of the data leader evolving over the next 12-24 months?” 

“We are at a crossroads where agent-based AI workloads can relieve us of the mundane aspects of proper data governance and operational activities. This will be at odds with the desire to use data increasingly for model training and the challenge ahead will be coming up with novel architectures allowing deep experimentation without breaking the bank or good governance.”
