I have worked in data roles for over 20 years, intentionally moving between diverse sectors. The first part of my career was spent in traditional analyst roles, working with data to inform, provoke and inspire stakeholders. After working at a wealth management company, I held positions with the police, a decision analytics consultancy, a marketing consultancy, and within financial services.
For the last 14 years I have looked at strategic uses of data. This began at a Health and Beauty retailer where I delivered bespoke, revenue generating supplier projects. The last seven years have been spent in the public sector. I made this move as I wanted to use my skills and experience in the pursuit of delivering wider public benefit. I joined a charity where I headed up data, IT and Marketing before becoming Arts Council England’s first Chief Data Officer in 2021.
