I founded Kubrick in 2016 with my long-time business partner [and Kubrick CEO] Tim Smeaton to address what would soon become a Digital Skills Emergency; we knew data was becoming more intrinsic to how organizations operated, but the lack of available skills in the market would impede major brands from accessing the talent that Big Tech was monopolizing. We realized by training our own workforce of consultants, we could help kickstart the careers of bright graduates while giving clients the talent they needed to get their data in order – which we all know is a monumental task.
When COVID hit and spurred on an immense wave of digitization, we were ready. We trained thousands of consultants and our Hire-Train-Deploy model allowed our clients to retain the talent they needed, while our senior consultants provided the guidance and management to ensure high quality delivery. Now, with the advent AI, we are ready again. We have cultivated a team of world-class AI experts, who are delivering end-to-end AI systems that are transforming the lives of their end users. I’m incredibly proud of the creativity and impact of our solutions, from accelerating drug discovery by 182x for Life Sciences organizations to reducing troubleshooting on aircraft maintenance by 50%.
I’m a strong believer in the power of data and AI to better outcomes for us all – our consultants, our clients, and society at large. We continue to train our own workforce, in doing so lowering systemic barriers to the data industry to achieve 2x representation of female and minority professionals compared with industry standards.
There has never been a more exciting time to be part of the data and AI world. The DataIQ network represents the strength of our community, which continues to challenge, push boundaries, and achieve more.
