Sophie Holland, Director of Data and Business Platforms, Chambers and Partners

I started my career in business analysis and insight roles. My turning point came when I built an Enterprise Data Warehouse, fully integrated with campaign management, advanced analytics, visualisation, master data management, and a single customer view in a year at News UK. 

I then centralised BI for 200 employees at Royal Mail and generated 25 FTE savings through ceasing and automating thousands of legacy reports while rolling out QlikView company wide. I moved to HSBC, where I implemented a global KPI framework to improve customer messaging to 37 countries to boost reach, engagement, sales and retention.     

As Director of Data and Chambers and Partners, I built out a data function from scratch and grew the team across data engineering, analysis, visualisation, and architecture. I defined and executed a data strategy to implement comprehensive data governance from scratch, grow the data lakehouse to provide data to all research platforms, and foster a culture of data and customer driven decision making through KPI implementation and reporting.
