What challenges do you see for data in the year ahead that will have an impact on you and on the industry as a whole?

Preparing data and getting value from generative AI (genAI); institutionalizing data product management; dealing with the democratization of IT development, automation, and data science in the citizen movement.

How do you see data literacy developing across a) your network and b) the data industry generally?

Slowly moving in the right direction; genAI has stimulated data-oriented cultures in many organizations.

How do you see the industry preparing for AI adoption and change management?

Still a long way to go in being ready for genAI. Data curation, quality, and integration are major issues. Upskilling and reskilling employees is also a strong need. Many organizations are just experimenting and have not yet achieved economic value.
