Describe your career to date
Wild. Unimaginable. If you had told me even ten years ago that I would be a two-time CDO before the age of 40, I would have laughed! I feel so blessed to have such a rewarding career in such a relevant and interesting area. Every day is different and everyone needs good data. It is such a great place to be, and I feel very fortunate to be among such talented people every day.

We have internal training programs built for users internally and externally to learn data literacy concepts.
What role do you play in building and delivering conventional artificial intelligence solutions, including machine learning models? Are you also involved in your organization’s adoption of generative AI?
My team is focused on ensuring our data strategy is fit for purpose when adopting newer forms of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. AI is not a new capability, but generative AI has really taken off. This surge of AI has given us renewed focus on traditional data capabilities like data quality and lineage.
What are the key challenges to your data function that you are facing as its leader?
Remaining grounded in what we need to do and not focusing exclusively on what we want to do.
