Vicky joined Aquila Insight (later Merkle Aquila following its acquisition in 2017) in 2014 after more than a decade working client-side as customer analytics manager for Royal Bank of Scotland. She has brought and inspirational passion for data and analytics, as well as a strong work ethic that have contributed to making her a role model, both within the agency and more widely for practitioners in the industry, especially women.
This is reflected in the career progression of women in her team as well as her commitment to activities such as the “Women who code” meet-up to which she is a regular contributor. She is also active in industry events, such as DataFest and DataTalent, heading up Merkle Aquila’s graduate recruitment presence.
The past year has seen a graduate programme introduced in the business, with a short training scheme followed by an introduction to live client projects. Other processes she has developed keep the analytics team growing through training and mentoring. Her support and investment into the team are clear from the culture and attitude across the business.
