Under Mehta’s leadership, the data platform workforce has been transformed into a high-performing global talent pool and his team supports the core pillars of the data strategy agenda to use data and machine learning to support customers and the wider community. Key customer-centric initiatives impacted by Mehta’s efforts include machine learning conversational intelligence, customer lifetime value and fraud and financial crime detection and prevention.
The efforts of Mehta and the motivations he can instil in colleagues resulted in 70% of his global team being professionally certified in at least one cloud data technology. On a more personal level, his leadership and empathy saw him going above and beyond when supporting colleagues across the globe throughout the pandemic to monitor everyone’s wellbeing in a difficult scenario.
His work has seen him represent NatWest in global technology publications and become a regular speaker for global data and tech conferences. He also represents NatWest Group on the Amazon Web Services customer advisory board and recently spoke at the Gartner Data Analytics Summit examining modernising the data fabric to drive business outcomes.
