Over the last two years, Susan has expanded The Classification Guru to include four freelance classification specialists, a business manager, a data analyst and a marketing manager, enabling the business to operate internationally and in multiple languages.
Susan has become an industry thought leader and data influencer by utilising speaking engagements, exhibitions and social media. Susan has a combined following of over 30,000 people across social media platforms and 13,000 subscribers to her newsletter. She receives an average of 500 engagements per LinkedIn post – up to 10,000 engagements per post – and 4.3 million impressions combined over the last twelve months.
In just the last year, Susan has been invited to speak at Big Data LDN, eWorld, BidOps, CIPS and Fourthbrain.ai, as well as becoming the highest ranked woman on the Thinkers360 big data leader board, giving a TEDx talk, publishing a book and being named in the DataIQ 100. Her aim is to make data accessible to all and easy to understand as it is the cornerstone of developing successful businesses.
As she moves forward, Susan hopes to inspire other women to consider a career in data by challenging stereotypes and bringing something different, fun and creative to the industry with her sparkly pink backdrops, lip-syncs and data parody songs all gaining a cult following.
