The efforts of Ryder have seen active users of Tableau treble to more than 10,000 which has made new data tools and the skills to understand their use available to a much wider audience. This has been expanded in the last six months to platform collaboration including suppliers and retailers.
The training designed and provided by Ryder has consistently received glowing feedback: “Everything about these is excellent, the format and pre-work, the length, the focus, the highly-skilled presenters, the relaxed vibe. These really are excellent events, thanks so much to the team for the time and effort in putting these on.” This strategy has now reached more than 1,000 members of the data Yammer group and has seen more than 200 Tableau sessions completed in the last year.
Thanks to Ryder’s efforts and drive, there have been multiple successes seen across different departments and geographies. One apprentice of the training programme visualised their data and was able to save £20,000 per week by reducing scrap wastage through introducing a new process.
Externally, Ryder actively shares Jaguar Land Rover’s data story and approach to self-serve data and analytics, including speaking opportunities at three data conferences. Ryder also developed and co-leads a Tableau user network to connect and support people driving data literacy and analytics adoptions in their own organisations.
