“A simple concept underpinned by a range of different types of data and such a crucial subject area. A great use of data.” – Judges’ comment
Specsavers’ industry-recognised clinical outcomes report allows clinicians to see the outcomes of all their patients and review them as part of reflective practice. The report shows clinically related KPls that impact those in Specsavers’ care, including patient satisfaction, referral rates for eye health conditions, recommended review dates and types of examinations completed. The report visualises the outcomes in a compelling and intuitive manner which allows clinicians to make evidence-based improvements to their practice and providing the highest level of care for patients. This keeps Specsavers’ clinical services high quality, safe, efficient and to the benefit of customers and the NHS funding bodies.
Since publication, the report has improved waiting list times, freed up hundreds of thousands of appointments and improved public health through improved efficiencies in the community. Further refinement through advanced machine learning has continued to improve the approach taken by Specsavers and provide additional benefits to customers and stakeholders.
