A Charles Thomas, VP – Data Science, Strategy and Operations, Meta

What has been your path to power?

As vice president, data science, strategy and operations at internet publisher Meta, Thomas is involved with three billion users across Meta’s brands, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and a collection of hardwares. Thomas is utilising data science solutions to improve business intelligence and inform decision making across global teams. He is also currently a member of the board of directors at financial advisor Wealth Enhancement Group.

Thomas was previously head of data science and growth analytics: Microsoft cloud and AI at Microsoft, he also spent three years as chief data and analytics officer, head – enterprise data science and analytics at General Motors and was chief data officer and head – enterprise data and analytics at Wells Fargo for more than three years. He is a champion for diversity and inclusion across STEM industries, particularly the data sciences
