Brotsos has spent 20 years designing, implementing and managing large-scale data initiatives and empowering developers to utilize data products to create innovative solutions. At the FHWA, he oversees tactical and strategic data-related activities for the agency and its stakeholders, as well as leading FHWA efforts to track data collections, data purchases, databases, and linkages between datasets.
Within the agency, Brotsos advises leadership on matters pertaining to data, data protection and data program operations, while ensuring its data is available, reliable, consistent, accessible, secure, and timely to support the mission and activities of FHWA. This includes ensuring efficiencies in data management, as well as identifying the public value of FHWA data.
