I have led data and analytics organizations for the better part of 25 years across both the private and public sectors. Throughout my career, I have overseen the strategic use of data, analytics, and AI, and have sought to balance both offensive and defensive postures to drive outcomes.
As Chief Data Analytics Officer, I lead data, analytics, and AI and ML initiatives to improve business outcomes. Our mission to treat clients fairly and give them the best chance for investment success permeates my world every day as we drive data-driven decisions in support of that goal.
Prior to joining Vanguard in 2021, I spent time at Collibra and E*Trade Financial, where I developed and implemented enterprise data strategies as Chief Data Officer. In the public sector, I served as CDO and Director of Data Analytics at the Office of Government-wide Policy during the Obama Administration, co-founding the White House Data Cabinet and co-authoring the first Federal Data Maturity Model. I also spent a decade at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, leading data and analytics teams during and through the 2008 financial crisis.
