Roundtable: Building an end to end data strategy for a complex organisation structure
The larger the organisation the more complex the challenges for developing (and implementing) a data strategy. Finding the right balance between centralisation and decentralisation is essential for an efficient data strategy. Likewise, identifying business initiatives and organisational priorities and the data resources required especially if these are siloed in various parts of the organisation.
Building a diverse team of data professionals, technology experts, and key stakeholders from the most impacted business areas is important to form a team capable of addressing complex issues. To maximise the use of AI and machine learning (ML), data must be ready to meet the specific requirements of these programs. This includes ensuring the data is high-quality, secure, and easily integrated into AI models as well as adopting a strong governance framework.
