  • DataIQ 100 Keynote: Lauren Sager Weinstein, Chief Data Officer, Transport for London – “Making data matter when every journey matters”

As everybody attending the Summit London will know, Transport for London plays a critical role in getting you where you want to go. TfL and its predecessor agencies have a strong legacy of using data, even when the “technology” was pen and paper. Increasingly, a 21st Century data approach has become part of its operational practices and an enabler of the services provided by TfL to its customers, as well as across the organisation.

In this session, Lauren will look back at the path data has taken and look forward to what might lie in store for it within such a complex enterprise. She will examine the critical role played by data at historic times for TfL and for London, before considering her own long tenure and how she has maintained focus, freshness and forward-thinking.

  • DataIQ 100 Keynote: James Morgan, Chief Data Officer, The Crown Estate – “Using data to create lasting and shared prosperity for the nation”

The Crown Estate is an independent business sitting between the public and private sectors which has the purpose of creating lasting and shared prosperity for the UK nation. It does this via the £16 billion portfolio of assets it manages, ranging from swathes of Central London to the seabed around the England, Wales and Northern Ireland, returning over £1 billion annually to the Treasury.

But it also possesses another increasingly valuable asset – data. In this session, James and his team will demonstrate how The Crown Estate is applying the latest in geo-spatial intelligence to the organisation’s critical purpose, as well as building on the ambition to develop a data eco-system to support the wide range of business partners it engages with.
