Inclusion in the DataIQ 100 is a notable badge of honour and is widely referenced by the individuals who make the cut – you have likely seen it mentioned in data leader biographies and press releases from the organisations they represent. It is the data industry’s comprehensive list of who’s who, shining the spotlight on the finest minds and leaders currently in data and analytics.

“For over ten years we have been researching and celebrating the data leaders behind the incredible impact our profession has on all parts of business, the economy, and society,” said Adrian Gregory, Co-Founder and CEO, DataIQ. “To be recognised as a leader in your business, and specialism is no mean feat – and that is why we want to hear from you. The purpose of the DataIQ 100 is to provide a respected platform for data and analytics leaders to support each other, advance the data, analytics and AI profession, to attract investment and to enthuse the next generation of data practitioners.”

DataIQ 100 2025

This year, DataIQ is introducing the biggest change in over a decade to how the annual list is collated, providing a more data-driven approach, meaning better accuracy and assessment of data leaders. This shift involves analysing nominees’ impact on their organisations by considering factors such as scale, complexity, and tenure. Through this new methodology, the latest edition of the DataIQ 100 will be more robust and representative, better reflecting the true contributions of data leaders in the industry.

“In 2024, DataIQ made the biggest change to how we select the individuals featured since we launched the 100 list a decade before,” said David Reed, Chief Knowledge Officer and Evangelist, DataIQ. “We adopted a formula which captures and processes the data points requested in the nomination form to generate a unique score. This allows us to rate each nomination based on common features with weightings applied to balance for differences in scope, scale, and capabilities. Our goal is to recognise senior data leaders who are making a genuine impact on their organisations through the use of data, analytics, and AI.”
