“Amid the excitement and innovation that genAI has created, one thing seems to have been overlooked – the need to establish a clear strategy for how it will support organisations in pursuing their purpose.”– Winning with AI, David Reed.
The new DataIQ AI Maturity Assessment
Without understanding current AI maturity and readiness, a clear AI strategy is impossible to implement. DataIQ has created this unique AI Maturity Assessment to help member organisations analyse the current status of their AI usage to determine their degree of maturity and plan the path for success.
The range of maturity extends from a base level of zero through to an extreme sophistication at five. The report includes an aggregated benchmark that averages maturity levels from other DataIQ member organisations and details a range of recommendations across the various dimensions of AI management to help you move up the maturity curve.
The assessment produces the results into an easily digestible report that lays out where weaknesses lie and how they can be addressed to better ready your organisation for full-scale AI roll-out. Each segment offers easy-to-read charts and information on six different benchmarks. After the five-minute assessment is complete, the report is made instantly available and is built to be shared across C-Suite boards to provide a comprehensive understanding of organisational AI readiness.
The survey is separated into six segments that follow the formulation of the DataIQ Way and the esteemed DataIQ Advisory Board: Culture & Literacy; Leadership & Vision; Technology & Tools; Data Quality; Strategic Approach; and Governance & Controls.
Respondents are asked to rate their level of agreement with statements, from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Statements surveyed in the assessment include:
- We have mapped the current skillset required for AI development.
- We have specific targets for value creation from AI.
- Our shareholders and investors see AI as a strategic pillar of growth.
- Governance has the authority to intervene in AI projects that are inappropriate.
AI has captured the attention and engagement of every organisational level; from the C-suite to the frontline, and there are few individuals who have not attempted some form of trial of these new solutions. The responsibility for this technology oftentimes falls to data (or tech) to leverage and control.
“The time has come for businesses to take the initiative and be actively planning and implementing AI adoption,” said Peter Galdies, Director, DataIQ. “Businesses need to deep-dive into their current state of play, recognise where future benefits can be gained, and understand this in line with the current state-of-the-art by using a standard benchmark. The benchmark will enable the organisation to understand it‘s relative level of maturity with competitors, helping identify and prioritise areas for improvement which, in turn, will allow the organisation to keep pace and gain the full benefit from advances in AI.”
