“The data industry is filled with some of the most talented individuals operating in business today, which is why we celebrate them in the DataIQ 100 each year” said David Reed, DataIQ’s chief knowledge officer and evangelist. “There were 1,247 nominations for inclusion in this year’s list, and the scope of talent was simply outstanding.”
“The difficulty in being a part of the judging process is that it is becoming increasingly hard to separate excellence among nominations as each year data leaders become more proficient,” said Reed. “Those listed in the 2024 DataIQ 100 were the ones that truly went above and beyond for the promotion of data-driven success, raising the bar of business as usual, and cementing a strong foundation for the future.”
The 2024 DataIQ 100 top ten are:
- Alex Sidgreaves, Chief Data Officer, Zurich Insurance
- Ranil Boteju, Group Chief Data and Analytics Officer, Lloyds Banking Group
- Aimee Smith, Director of Data, Metropolitan Police Service

On 19 June, selected DataIQ 100 nominees will attend the DataIQ 100 Discussion. This event includes data leadership conversations and presentations addressing how CDOs, CAOs, CDAOs, and their peers need to reframe their role and develop new skills to succeed in the new age of data. Delegates will explore with their peers and DataIQ’s commercial partners how they can ensure they are driving their own organisations with data, analytics, and AI. Facilitated roundtable discussions based on business-critical themes will provide a senior-level forum for open debate, together with insights into proven solutions from our partners and the impactful outcomes they have delivered.

Attendees of the DataIQ 100 Discussion will get a copy of the highly valued coffee table book of this year’s DataIQ 100 and complimentary access to the DataIQ Summer Lunch. The DataIQ Summer Lunch will bring together the wider community to celebrate successes and form new connections. As well as presenting Honours awards to three special members of the DataIQ 100, the shortlist for the DataIQ Awards will be announced live.
“We launched the DataIQ 100 in 2014 to champion data’s value to drive business performance by telling the stories of data leaders making differences and achieving exceptional results,” said Adrian Gregory, chief executive officer and founder, DataIQ. “The programme has evolved, creating an exclusive community of collaborative data leaders that help set the agenda for data, analytics and now AI, and to actively network for mutual benefit.”
“With over 1,000 nominations, the list goes from strength to strength, and this year the chosen 100 selected the Top Ten,” explained Gregory. “To continue their conversations, DataIQ 100 members also receive a VIP guest invites to several major DataIQ 100 events in the UK and the US in 2024.”
Gregory concluded: “We know that data-driven businesses achieve success faster and more consistently than businesses which do not embrace data. It is our core purpose is to support and shine the spotlight on data excellence worldwide, and the DataIQ 100 is central to achieve this.”
